HowLong Terms of Use

• Use HowLong only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms.
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or to our systems.
• Do not interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app or its backup infrastructure except as permitted by law.
• Do not use the app to store or transmit unlawful content.

• HowLong is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
• If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into HowLong. You are responsible for that content. If you enable cloud backup, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your data solely to provide the backup and restore features.

Cloud backup is provided as a convenience and on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that backups will always be available, complete, or recoverable. You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important data, and we are not liable for any loss of data.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature — including accounts and backup — at any time, with or without notice. We may update the app to fix issues or add functionality.

HowLongis provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CG Software Services LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of HowLong.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for the app, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.

HowLong relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase, for optional account and backup features. Your use of those features may also be subject to that third party's terms.

If you obtained HowLongthrough a third-party app marketplace (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), that platform’s terms also apply to your download and use of the app.

You may stop using HowLong at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or to protect the service and its users.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of HowLong after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
